I have to say, after being the 'cheap traveler" -I'm rarely in the hotel-this little hotel was a surprise. The spa/shower combination in the room was beautifully elegant in a Spanish Villa style. Something I'd love in my own home. At $40/night, the price is unbeatable.
Not really. The front desk was sleepy when I got there and we had to talk through the glass. Otherwise, no problem.

The price was good and the location for my medical appointments was good.
There was no coffee pot in the room and no coffee or breakfast in the office in the am.

The location wasnt too bad.
It was'nt too bad for the money. My main complaint is the neighbors in the room next to us which was'nt the hotels fault. They were fighting then made up if you know what I mean, I wanted to hold my 13yr old sons ears while their bed bas banging on our wall! Not something u want your kid to hear or all the cursing and fighting before that. The walls of the hotel are very thin. They should do something about that, because even when the neighbors where just talking u could still hear them.

I appreciated the hotel, it was nice with free wi-fi. The staff were affable and excellent, no reason to complain. I was here for 1 day and would book again.

This place is heinous. I'm not sure if it's in critical decline, or if it was recently purchased and it's in the process of restoration. Nothing was as it was billed, and it was dirty and in fair disrepair. No doubt these folks provided exactly the info they had to in order for Booked.net to carry them. Wow. Here it is again--"Wow". Don't stay here.

Everything was great, nice hotel, the location was peaceful short walk to Houston downtown, the medical center and the Hermann Park and the city zoo. All of the staff was nice and accommodating and attentive to guests. Truly enjoyed the location to get everything set up. We stayed for 1 night here, loved Medical Center district.

Low rates! Comfortable enough; place is old, small and simple, but ok; my room needed only carpeting replaced (stained, looked as if was once flooded), but smelled alright. Key for me was proximity to Hospital area, and quite low rates. I will likely stay at Summit Inn again in near future. Staff seemed depressed (smiles seemed forced) especially "mom", but were courteous enough, and on the spot when needed, and helpful as to nearby locations (hospital, decent restaurants, etc.). Curtains kept out lights well, place was quiet enough; bed was alright; so, sleep was good. Free continental breakfast was meager but standard and adequate for a small hotel.
My room needed only carpeting replaced (stained, looked as if was once flooded). Staff seemed depressed (smiles seemed forced), but were courteous enough, and on the spot when needed, and could answer my questions well even if in hesitant English.

I appreciated the cleanliness and accommodating staff . The fridge provided great convenience for snacks. The door lock proved a bit troublesome. Nevertheless, overall, an enjoyable experience. Would consider returning.
